Important Visitor Information

Before visiting the Marshland Maritime Museum please be aware of the following

 

 All visits must be by prior arrangement with Mike Smith

 

 Entrance to the museum is free but donations towards running costs would be very

 much appreciated

 

 There are no catering facilities

 

 The museum is on one level however space is at a premium so caution is advised

 

 There are no disabled visitor facilities per se and wheelchair/electric scooter access

 is limited but possible. Small mobility scooters can navigate the walkways with care

 

 A spacious toilet is available for use by all visitors including those with a mobility

 problem. However this facility is not a fully rigged toilet for the disabled

 

 Assistance dogs are welcome but would have to be securely left outside of the

 museum

 

 There are two large 6 litre foam and 2 water fire extinguishers

 

 Two 'Exit' doors have 'Push Bar' quick release handles

 

 In the event of a power cut a battery backup system will illuminate exit doorways

 

 There is parking for circa 20 vehicles. Mini bus access is also possible
